I score every API provider in an industry on the same rubric applied to Stripe, read straight from the machine-readable evidence they publish — the OpenAPIs, the scopes, the security posture, the agent surfaces — not the claims on their website. You get the distribution, the leaders, the absent incumbents, the long tail nobody writes about, and the standards-and-regulation read that tells you whether a market is moving because it wants to or because it was told to.

Read from evidence, not from websites
Every score comes from artifacts a machine can read — the OpenAPI definitions, the scopes, the security posture, the plans and rate limits, the agent surfaces a provider actually publishes. Marketing claims don't move the number, and a provider who says "we have an API" but ships no fetchable contract scores like what they are. That's the whole point: it's the difference between a real platform and a compliance filing, and it's usually invisible from the outside.
Where a score rests on an artifact I generated rather than one the provider published, the report says so in its own section. You can see exactly how much of a market's apparent maturity is real.
Country is a facet, not a different product
The same industry in two countries is often two different markets, because the regime underneath them differs — a mandate produces one shape, and its absence produces another. Where that's true, the industry is scored per country and the reports are written to be read side by side. Where it isn't, the industry is scored globally.
